Ms Gina Salman, Executive Director of The Commons
Welcome to The Commons!
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to those of you who do not already know me. I am originally from Chicago, Illinois and after getting my Bachelors degree from Northern Illinois University in Marketing and Business, I moved West to California. I have lived in the Woodland Hills area for the past 20 years and am deeply connected and committed to the local schools, synagogue, businesses and community. Over that time I was able to build a successful career in real estate, specializing in Senior Real Estate. Five years ago, I was able to segue that experience into a career in Senior Living. I firmly believe that I did not choose a career in Senior Living, rather Senior Living chose me. From the moment I walked into The Commons for the first time, I was forever changed. The residents and staff instantly stole my heart, and I have been captivated ever since by the notion that The Commons is not simply a building; it is a unique mosaic of both residents and staff, who care about and for each other.
It is my honor to serve as the Executive Director at The Commons. I believe that my time here as the Sales Director has uniquely prepared me to thrive in this position, and help develop and lead initiatives to improve care and services across all areas of the community. I am passionate about the relationships I have with the residents and resident families that I know from my previous role, and intend to leverage those relationships as I do my part to help turn The Commons into the best version of itself imaginable.
In addition to my responsibilities here, I am a proud mother of 3 great kids ranging from ages 25 to 13 who keep me very busy during my time away from The Commons. If you have not done so already, at some point soon you will likely meet my mother, Sue, who comes in periodically to make jewelry with the residents, as well as my boyfriend, David, who joins me every month for our fun evening of Bingo Bash.
Please know that I am always interested to hear your opinions on how to realize the potential of this incredible place.
